Size of band

Size of band

I am getting married June 19, 2004 at the George Washington Manor. The area where they put the band seems rather small so I was thinking of getting a smaller band (maybe 4-5 pieces). Does anyone have any opinions/advice/ideas on this matter.

i think the band should fit the size of the room...
if they are too big and overpowering that is all people are going to remember.

Some bands have awesome synthesizers and other computer generated machines that can pose as instruments. The band The Circle, has great equipment and does a wonderful job as a smaller band.

I went to a wedding there this august and they had an 8 person band and it was fine. I wouldn't worry about it.

Can you ask the hall what size band they recommend or have seen play in that room? That might help....

Thanks everyone - for your help. I'll call the GWM and see what size band they recommend and if they have any referrals.
