I saw the Woodlands this weekend and I am in love! (again~*) My only concern is that the dining room looks huge! i would only want to invite 125-150 guests and i wonder if the room will look empty. Also its kind of weird that the dance floor cuts into the middle of the room- separating the guests in half. Anyone have experience with this? Any thoughts on the WOodlands would be appreciated- I am trying to narrow it down between that and the North Ritz... Thanks!

lol that is funny because the woodlands was my first choice until I saw the north ritz club.
I had the opposite problem I am having a larger wedding and she said that my 'guest could flow over into the other room during cocktail hour' and I didn't want anyone flowing over anywhere lol So i decided against it. I think it is perfect for your size! Although I am still partial to the NRC!!

we booked the woodlands and are having around 175-200 people.
i think if you have around 150 than it won't really look empty, but i do know if they have smaller weddings then they put a wall to divide the room in half.

From personal experience i think i'd go with the N. Ritz. I would have probably booked at N. ritz but they didn't have my date open.
The woodlands does have the partitioned walls which was a big turn off for me cuz you could see they were there even if they weren't in use.
Perhaps that could work if u have a smaller party.
Imo i'd say n. ritz

We are booked at the Woodlands and we are having only 100 ppl. They told us they can put the DJ on one side of the dance floor and all the tables on the other--so we are not dividing up the room. Plus FH and I really like that so the DJ speakers are not right on top of anyone. That really bothers us when the last table has to sit right next to the DJ speaker.
I've never seen the N. Ritz before though.

I was the exact same way. I'm having around 200 and thought the cocktail room is a little tight for my crowd. I went to NRC and fell in love! I'm meeting with a priest tonight to see if they have the same dates open, then I'll be calling to book

I got married at the woodlands and I had about 145 guests. They set the room up so it didn't look empty. They can also section off the 2nd bar and close off part of the area. The thing is with that is that the sides will be uneven but, I dont even think that makes much of a difference.

We are getting married at the Woodlands and I originally was only going to have around the size you said you are having (but the list has gotten bigger!) - I just fell in love with the place. I love the entrance and the beautiful exterior, love the golf course, love the fireplaces inside and felt it just seemed like 'me' - I think they are really good at making it comfortable for you so I don't think it would look 'empty' - they know how to space out the tables etc.

I didnt use the dividers and you couldnt see them. I liked the woodlands because its not your typical catering hall and you can set it up as you like. You have the whole place to yourself. Besides the food is yummy!

I got marriend at the woodlands, and The food is the best! I fell in love with the place and my husband fell in love with the food!!
I was concerned about the dancefloor as well but it worked out - -we had 180 and one side turned out to be the quiet side for the older family( my parents friends are a little older and the other side was the party side ( just happened to be younger freinds and work people) everyone walked around, there was plenty of room. and no one left the dance floor - -but i guess that was because of our amazing band.
