Ski weekend help

So Valentines Day is coming up and it’s also a long weekend because of President's Day. FH and I are thinking of going skiing.
Any recommendations for a good place to ski and lodge in the NY area?????? I was looking at Windham and Hunter but I seriously have no clue cuz I never skied before
Something with a nice spa would be great, I would even settle for just a hot tub.

If your looking for an over the weekend kinda thing. South vermont is about a 4 hour drive. Okemo, Mt Snow and Stratton are all great mountains up there each have about 100 trails. If Your looking for a day trip you can go to the poconos (Camelback) its about 2 hrs away and has night skiing Its about the same size as hunter.
