I've been having an incredibly hard time finding a skim coater. One never called back, another made an appt, I ran home from work to meet him and he never showed up.
We had paneling removed in one room and wallpaper in another and the walls are a complete mess. One of the rooms will be the baby's nursery, so we really need to get a move on it so that we can have it painted and all ready for the baby.
Anyway, I live in Nassau Cty. Anyone have someone they can recommend?
Thanks so much. Cathy

Re: Skim-coater or Plaster recos?
We had our walls done a few months ago. We had a total of five rooms done and two ceilings. He did a great job! The walls look brand new and they were SOOO damaged from wall paper. It was a guy that a friend of ours knew - he works for some company doing siding and does skim coating on the side, privately. We paid him cash. He was very professional and we were very pleased. FM if you want more info!

My neighbor does it and he has done our house. We live all the way out in Suffolk though. I don't know if he'll go out to Nassau, but if you are interested, I'll ask him.
