Skin Help

I tend to get those small bumps on the back of my upper arms in the summer and I want to get rid of them before the wedding. They are like under the skin kinda.

Do any of you have any suggestions? Im desperate for anything?!

I'm not sure you can get rid of them. I think they are just a genetic thing. But go see a dermatologist who can give you a better answer than me.

I started to get that! I bought a salicylic acid exfoliator and scrubbed the bumps with an exfoliating sponge in the shower every other day. I also used Aveeno daily moisturizer on my arms. It worked really well! Clean and Clear has a good salicylic acid scrub. Good luck!

I think I have the same thing on my upper arms. I think it came about from really dry skin. Now I have bumps on my arms and some spots.

I am going to ask my MU artist to airbrush that area so it looks clean.

I bought Derma Doctor KP Duty for Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a common skin disorder, typified by 'chicken skin' bumps on upper arms, thighs, torso, buttocks and occasionally the cheeks. Excess skin forms around individual hair follicles, creating the characteristic minute, rough, grater-like bumps.

PLUS exfoliate the area when your in the shower with a good scrub like St Ives Apricot Scrub. Derma Doctor also sells a scrub for this purpose but it's $. I think most scrubs do the same thing so I went the cheaper route.

You can buy Derma Doctor Products online or at Sephora

i used to get those bumps too in the summer.. my dermatologist gave me urea cream?? i think it was.. to help dry out the bumps..

best bet is to go to the dr and see what he recommends.

The white bumps? I get those on the back of my arm but below the elbow. I tend to get them in the summer.. Or maybe I just notice them in the summer.

I use the Neutrogena acne wash on them and it tends to work. I've also used an acne cream on them too. And I also use a loofa and scrub them. But be careful b/c once I scrubbed so hard that the next day they were all red.

I would go to the dermatologist. Maybe try the acne wash first. Or if you have any acne creams/lotions maybe apply that too.

I have that also. I also have slight acne on my chest and back. The doctor told me it was genetic but i might be able to lessen its appearance. I'm using retin a and a special wash. It seems to be working really well

Re: Skin Help

I am a dermatologist. The condition you are describing is Keratosis Pilaris. This is a CHRONIC condition. It is difficult to completely obliterate it. All the above suggestions are great regarding cream and washes, using a 'buff puff' type loofah in the shower everyday ( gently, not overdoing it ) and also microdermabrasions and chemical peels can help hasten their resolution.
