skin issues

I'm always breaking out around my chin and the side of my face, no matter what I do!!

i've been to a dermotologist,didn't help.

Does anybody know anything good to use to prevent breakouts on oily skin??

I do not want to breakout on my wedding day

Re: skin issues

sounds crazy but it could be your cell phone!!! it usually rests on your chin and side of your face.. wipe it down with and alcohol pad... I use Neutorgena daily acne face wash it has salicylic acid in it and works for me..

Re: skin issues

have the same issue. You should keep a journal of what you're doing, touching your face, eating and of habits.

Sleeping enough?
Drinking enough water?
Take some Biotin...and a multi-vitamin
wash your face with gentle wash or with milk
do not touch your face
Try to moisturize right after a shower
don't use hot water too much in a shower
and limit time in the shower
Stay away from fried food or from frying foods (sometimes my skin gets irritated from someone else frying chicken cutlets or something - just being around it)

Sometimes if your skin is too dry it can cause a breakout

Change your make-up and brushes
test if your shampoo or other hair product could be causing it.

I feel like my similar skin issues are a combo of things but mainly hormonal.

Re: skin issues

I use the clinique 3 step for acne

works great

and then in emergencies you know when you get that one big annoying one I'll dab a little toothpaste on it before going to bed..works wonders actually.

Just don't leave the toothpaste on too long! burned my temples once

I get breakouts too but I started using Olay Dual Action Foaming cleanser and I have to say my skin seems to be clearing up... maybe give that a try... it's a pump bottle with blue and white liquid in it.

Proactive.... Not the face wash or the moisturizer BUT the mask ... works AMAZING! I dont use it as a mask. I put it on any problem area and it clears it up in like two days. Try it!!

Re: skin issues

try putting alcohol on your cell and your tweezers to clean it. Also, I was breaking out a lot and I bought this soap that is not sold in stores (well maybe some) but it has really helped! I ran out and ran to order more. It's called COSMEDIX. It's a little more money but it works and reviews are great!

This is the site I order from. It's cheaper

try going to a different Dermatologist - there has to be something else that they can give you.

Re: skin issues

My FMIL is a big health nut and she always talks about this website mercola.com and he has like video's and stuff talking about everything you can think of with your health and body.

He says the most important thing to do is to stay way from breads that contain white flour. It fuels acne. Try to eat mostly whole wheat and whole grains and stay way from breads and pastas that are white flour.

are you a side sleeper? sometimes the material of the pillow cover can exacerbate the condition.

Re: skin issues

Definitely moisturize!!! It sounds so simple and yet it makes such a difference. I've always had acne and since I started moisturizing day/night it's gone away!
