I'm thinking of not inserting church directions because the address is on the invitation and these days with navigation how hard is it to find things and because I have to have evrything match and I'm not crazy about the flimsy church directions my church has.
Do you think this is a bad idea??? I mean, most people don't even attend the church I feel...what are you guys doing? or hav done already?

Re: Skipping directions???
Our card stock is very heavy and we have a lot of pieces already (invite, RSVP set, accommodation, reception, inner and outer envelopes), so we didn't add a directions card (Grrr to expensive postage!) We didn't include directions to the reception either since it's literally right down the road 1/2 mile.

Re: Skipping directions???
I did not add any directions My church was on 5th ave that was obvious and my CH was in Queens and everyone I invited were from Queens. I also agreed that people could easily use a GPS or mapquest the location....lol I would do just that if I didn't know where I was going. I am sure you will be fine, no need to worry.

Re: Skipping directions???
Im not getting married at church, but I included directions to the RH but not the hotels because the hotel i booked with was only going to give me direction cards for the 10 room I blocked and charge me $2 for every extra.. since I wasnt paying for over 100 of them.. I skipped it... There wont be that many poeple staying at the hotels, so I just couldny justify paying for them and I had no time to make them DIY either.. so they were out

Re: Skipping directions???
I just got an invitation to a wedding in Maryland and there was no direction cards at all for the RH or church. Mapquest all the way!

Re: Skipping directions???
I only put in direction cards for the hotel in the invitations to people who were out of town, especially some of the older guests I didn't think were necessarily interested in doing the computer directions thing.
As far as the venue, my parents told me I had to put the direction cards in, so I did. I didn't like having all those papers in there, but if it helps people get to the location, I'd rather just put it in, so I listened.
I think it's totally up to you and weighing the convenience verses the extra weight charge (if any).
