Skyline - Top Shelf Band

I looked into Code Bleu as well, but they were booked for my date. I ended up booking Phoenix who is a house band for the place I am getting married. They are also Skyline. I don't know why they don't do showcases like the other bands. Any ideas? Sorry, but I didn't hear the other groups. Selecting a band was hard for me...I liked allot of them Let me know.

East Coast

I have the tape for East Coast band. I saw them on their web site, it is somewhere on this board, and they were great. Best of all, they cost about $4000 for all 7-8 pieces. If you do a search on this board you will find info. If not let me know and I can look it up for you. Two bands told me that because I called them directly, and not through an agency, I was getting a much better price. I guess the agency cut is pretty big.

I just started my search....

I called Get on Up and have been waiting almost 10 days for their video. I called a few others. Body Heat was over $7000 and that was too much for me. I am looking around $4000. I have heard really good things about Code Bleu and just ask tonight what their prices are (on this board). East Coast, so far, seems talented, willing to listen to what we want, and he is not pushy at all. I will keep you posted...and please keep me posted as well.

Skyline - Top Shelf Band

I heard Top Shelf as one of the first bands I saw. They were OK. A little older in age...there are two female vocalists...I didn't particularly like that nor did I think that is necessary. They were my least favorite of the Skyline Orchestras. Skyline is a good band with that company. I booked Code Bleu.

East Coast

I booked East Coast for my November 2001 wedding. We had seen about 15 bands at all the showcases and we by far liked East Coast the best. The main reason is they are not your typical wedding band, they actually play in bars and clubs all over, including Manhattan. We saw them at two different bars in Manhattan and one on Long Island. They had everyone dancing. They were playing New Years Eve at the Long Island Marriot and my maid of honor went and said they were very good. They are very nice so far. I have not yet talked to them about what we want played at the wedding, so I hope everything goes well.

East Coast

We had East Coast at our June wedding & they rocked! Everyone loved them & they couldn`t have been nicer. They learned 2 songs for us, and my friends actually thought the East Coast version of our wedding song was better than the original performer`s version!! :) We chose them after hearing them at a bar in Manhattan & we were so thrilled with our choice. They also did a jazz trio at our cocktail hour for I think about $400-$500 additional cost, which was just lovely. Good luck with your decision!
