Sleep Help

Did any of you get one of those huge prego pillows? I am not sleeping at all anymore. I am having so much trouble getting comfy. Any advise?

Re: Sleep Help

I had that huge pillow... It wound up on the floor. I hated it. Instead I had 8 pillows just for me. One under my stomach. One under my knees. One between my knees. One behind me. One to hug. 2 under my head and one extra to smack FH with when he woke me up after being up 10 times to pee

Re: Sleep Help

My friend gave me her 'Snoogle' pillow, it's the c-shaped one. I highly suggest you get one, it helped me so much, especially early in my pregnancy. Now that I'm bigger, it takes longer to get comfy when I get into bed, but I still sleep pretty well through the night, and I owe it to my snoogle!

A pregnant woman I know LOVED this contraption...

Features:

Wedge-shaped cushions offer sleep comfort for pregnant women
Can be wrapped around the body to offer lower back and abdomen support
Velcro adjustable to conform to changing bodies
Removable cover is machine washable and dryer safe

Sleep? Just what is that? I use a body pillow (DH ) and 4 regular pillows...it just doesn't matter - I can't sleep more than a 1/2 hour at a time.

If I weren't so thrilled to have this miracle growing inside me, I'd be pretty darn cranky!!

Sweet dreams!!

Kathi, I'm sorry, but I'm LMAO about your cranky comment!!!!

I wasn't sleeping too well the first trimester either, but lately (knock wood) it's been ok. Now I only get up once to go pee. I have been having really bad nightmares and really vivid wacky dreams that also keep me up some nights.

Debbie...sure, laugh yer butt off at my expense!!

I'm so jealous of you!! ONCE a night to pee?!!? OMG, I get up a *minimum* of 4 times!!!!!!!!!! And speaking of bad dreams...I've had some doozies!! I gave birth to a baby that looked just like our male cat in one of my *dreams* - DH was thrilled - in the dream, of course!!

Hee Hee!!

Re: Sleep Help

I'm with most of you ladies in the sleep department as in, I don't sleep!! I heard all the stories that women in the first trimester get very fatigued and in the second trimester you are in the 'honeymoon stage' and it gets better and now that I'm in my third trimester I still have not had a sense of being tired or nodding out.

Since I am on complete bedrest you'd think I'd be napping all day.....nooooo I get up with hubby when he leaves for work at about 8 am, up from 6:50 am and that's it I'm up for the day!!! I go to bed no earlier than 12 am and then I start it all over again. Go figure....I wish I could at least nap.

Re: Sleep Help

Michele i didn't have any problem sleeping in the first trimester, I think I was just too exhausted and the MS was killing me that I fell asleep at 9pm and slept thru the night. Now in the second trimester I am having a lot more trouble. I have trouble falling asleep and then when I do I wake up numerous times during the night. I'm am also having trouble with siatica(sp?) I move a certain way and I am immeadiately hollering in pain waking up Steve in the process

Niha...I love the snoogle I have to get one of those thanks

So I guess I will never get back to sleep again. I am soooo tired all the time but I am up all night and don't sleep well. I was hoping you would give me some quick, easy tips for a nice, restful sleep.
