sleep patterns for baby

sleep patterns for baby

At 22 weeks, is the baby sleeping and waking on a schedule? In other words - does she sleep for approximately the same time every day? Or at around the same times?

'Cause...she seems to move around an awful lot...does this mean she is an alien child that will be wide-eyed and bushy-tailed 24 hours a day? I only notice no movement when I am walking around a store or something. The second I sit down she starts percolating!!!

Usually what happens is that you moving around 'rocks' the baby to sleep. When you are sitting calmly, she will probably be moving more - happened to me all the time!! Edited to add that what happens in the womb, in my opinion, has absolutely no bearing on real life! Ryan definitely slept in the womb - he HATES sleeping now!! Getting him on a schedule is proving to be verrry difficult...

My baby actually likes to 'play' when I am working on my computer. He/She also moves around when I watch TV at night. At night the baby sleeps like I do and I have never been woken up by the baby. Let's hope that continues

As far as I can remember, the baby can be sleeping and moving at the same time, so I'm not sure if we can really tell the sleep patterns while pregnant.
