Do these beds both take a box spring and mattress. I'm getting a new bedroom set, and already have a brand new mattress and box spring. I would hate to get rid of my box spring. Anyone know if I can still use it??

Re: Sleigh Bed and Low Profile Sleigh Bed
We have a sleigh bed and have both a boxspring and mattress. With both those, it makes our bed so high off the floor!

Re: Sleigh Bed and Low Profile Sleigh Bed
We went through the same dilemma when we purchased our sleigh bed (we ordered the bedroom set first, then went matress shopping) .. I was afraid the regular box spring with the matress would be too high .. the mattresses we liked best were the Sterns and Foster Pillow Top .. so they can be pretty wide .. some were up to 20 inches!
Anyway .. the set we wanted .. they were out-of-stock on the low profile boxspring .. and I didn't want to keep waiting and waiting .. so we decided to go for the regular box spring .. and yes .. our bed is pretty high off the floor .. but we've definitely gotten used to it .. it was a big change from what we were used to .. hubby likes it much better .. and I have to say .. I love the look .. in the evening .. when the bed is all made up .. and the lamps on a dim setting on the night stands .. makes me feel like it's my little getaway rather than the bedroom.
I'd say try it out and see how you like it .. you can always change it down the road.

Thanx! I have a pillowtop mattress right now, so it's kinda high to begin with. I just didn't want to get rid of my new box spring.
