Let me know if this sounds stupid, but i was kinda thinking that during the ceremony - you know that part where a beautiful song is played (or sung) and everybody just kinda sits there and stares at the bride & groom, wondering what they're whispering about to each other? Well I was thinking that it might be nice to have a slideshow suddenly come up on the screen during that song. Obviously of me & my FH. You know the type - growing up and then ending with pictures of us together. I don't know, I thought that might be cute. It kinda gives people something to look at and it would really be fun to surprise my FH with it.
But I dunno. My sister and sister-in-law-to-be both LOVED the idea. What do ya think?

Re: slideshow
I know a lot of people that have dj's do a 'photo montage' I kind of think it is more for a Bat/Bar Mitzvah. JMO I know a lot of girls are doing this.
I'm not into the dj thing with all the props be giving out at weddings. But I'm sure people will love it.

Re: slideshow
I went to a wedding that had that. I LOVED IT!! WHen I was at Dj (that is who does it) He said he didnt recmmnd it because then people are consentrating on watching the video instead of eyes on you. We spend so much money getting ready....let them watch us IMO. HTH

Thats a really good point, i didn't really think about that. The thing is that I would love to have a slideshow at some point that evening, however I'm not sure if I want it at the reception, so I kinda thought the ceremony would be nice. But yeah, maybe all eyes should be on ME. lol (sounds Bridezilla-ish)

Re: slideshow
We're thinking of doing some sort of quick slide show or video at our rehersal dinner. We've been to a few reheresal dinners that had them and the crowd got a kick out of it. I think it's better suited for a RD because people are seated all night and it's a smaller, more special crowd of family and bridal party. At the reception I want very little interuptions so that people can just dance and drink and eat and have fun. But obviously, to each his own!

I agree. I think RD is a much more appropriate place for it since the people their are the closest to you.

Re: slideshow
I don't think you should do a slideshow at the ceremony. I always thought the ceremony was the place to just focus on you and the groom and the fact that at that very moment you are taking your vows and pledging your love.
Save the slideshow for the reception. Usually at the tail end of dinner is a good time.

Re: slideshow
That's exactly what we're doing. Photo montage.
My sister did it at her wedding and it was great..
to hear all the guest say 'awww' 'ooo' and laugh, it was fun.

Re: slideshow
r u getting married at a church?
they may not allow it...
if you aren't getting married at a church.. r u getting married outside? if it is sunny, there will be a glare...
i would save it for the reception..
you can do a montage right b4 you r introduced if u want.

Re: slideshow
Yeah, I'm getting married at my home church, and we're all really close so I definitely don't think they would have a problem with it. But I think I'm liking the idea of doing it at the rehearsal dinner.

Re: slideshow
Hi ! How about a video montage during dinner time . A DJ suggested this to us and it sounded real nice.
