Slightly bummed about my dress even though the wedding is over.

Slightly bummed about my dress even though the wedding is over.

So in February, I visited my mom and we went to a David's Bridal so I could try it on for her and take pics...she took pics on her camera and sent them at Easter...but the package never arrived....finally in late May, it came back to her. So she brought them to the wedding and I finally looked at them last night while we were packing. The dress I tried on in NC was super poufy and fluffy around my hips and looked FANTASTIC on me in her pics. I didn't even have on a crinoline slip! When I look at the pics from fittings and the day of, it's not at all poufy at my hips and kind of hangs. Really sad that it didn't have the same look on the 2 dresses even though it was the 'same' dress.

I still looked great...but realizing the one I wore wasn't quite right kind of upset me.

Don't dwell on the past, sweetie!

Looking at my pics from my final fitting the day before my wedding (when nothing could be done), I realized that the dress should've been taken in a little more underneath my boobs. You know what, it made zero difference the day of...I still felt like a beautiful bride and got sooo many compliments.

Looking back, I'm sure every bride has regrets (heck, I didn't even like my reception hall!), but the important thing is that you're married now. In the grand scheme of things, it's one day...

Oh don't get me wrong...I am not sitting here crying over it.

It was just kind of like, aw man!

In the end, it doesn't matter...but it hit me like finding out that the waiters didn't tell my vegan friends and family about the vegan options!

I totally know how you're feeling...

I have all these little mini-regrets (like not eating more at the cocktail hour, and missing when the band played the Boston College fight song because I was taking a stupid picture with my mom's cousins...), but I think it's only normal.

I am sure we are all going to realize things after the wedding we wish were different that day, but in the end it was a beautiful day and you married your best friend.

My brother requested a certain song to be played when they entered the room for the first time as husband and wife, and he did not even realize that they did not play the correct song until he got the wedding video back. Stinks, but what are you going to do?

I know you are not sitting there crying over it, but I also know that you wish it looked the way it did in the first picture. Sorry

Awe... if it makes you feel better, I couldnt get over how gorgeous your dress was. Even Fh was in awe.. and kept telling me 'her dress is really pretty', He actaully said you looked like a princess - he started scaring; a little too fruity if you know what mean.
