A couple of people I know was on slimfast and really didn't like it. I would recommend looking at USANA Health Sciences. From what I have read/learned USANA offers the most complete and healthy meal supplement products on the market. My fiance's friend is a distributor of USANA. Goto http://healthyny.usana.com. It's really easy to order online and comes in about 4 - 5 days in the mail.
Good luck :)

Re: slimfast
I've tried it and although it works, it made me extremely gassy.

Re: slimfast
A slimfast shake, while low in calories, has a lot of sugar. Slim fast can work because instead of eating a full breakfast and full lunch, you're having a 200 calorie shake each time. Ultimately, you could use a zone bar or any other 200 calorie equivalent; it doesn't have to be a slimfast shake.

Re: slimfast
I did it in college for two weeks...and I ended up so sick...my body was not getting enough nutrients. I can see replacing a meal with a shake, but I was drinking all my meals except for dinner.

Re: slimfast
I did this for awhile my first year of law school... it definitely worked, but I could only do it for so long. I didn't drink the shakes - I ate their meal bars instead, replacing breakfast and lunch with them. Although I thought the meal bars were satisfying, it was VERY hard to stick to.
