slip question

fsil had given me a slip she purchased for her wedding but didn't use. when i took it to try on my dress awhile ago, it seemed a little too full. the woman at the salon said i could either:

1) purchase a new slip
or
2) cut a layer of the crinoline out to make it not as full

Has anyone ever cut a layer of their slip out? Would it just be easier for me to buy a new slip?

Re: slip question

EASIER YES. BUT AN ADDITIONAL $85 (THAT'S WHAT I SPENT THIS WEEKEND) YOU PROBABLY DONT NEED.

I got mine on ebay for a total of $32, including shipping.

Lauren, who was the ebay seller?

I think I'm worried about buying the wrong slip and wasting my money on an item no one will see (the one I currently have is an A-line slip and I was originally told that's what I would need).

The seller was angelsbridal... I got it on Saturday and looks good to me. They suffed it in a small box so its wrinkled, but I have it hanging up now so it should be fine by May.
