Hi- I went for my first fitting tonight. I asked the seamstress about a slip and she said that most people don't wear them with the type of dress I have. I don't have a pic so I'll do my best to describe it. It is A-line, strapless, and has that pulling to one the side effect over the stomach. She really didn't want to put me in one so I went with her opinion- I figured she knew what she was doing cause she's been doing it for years. Now I'm second guessing my choice. I'm PMS'ing so this will bother me all night and day. Should I be second guessing my decision? Everyone with me said it looked great the way it was. Should I go back and drive the store crazy?

Re: slip vs. no slip
My dress doesn't need one and sounds a lot like yours. The seamstress said not to bother. It will be so hot so any less fabric will be welcomed

Re: slip vs. no slip
Thanks- I need a little reassurance that I made the right decision. My friend wore one and said it was iychy and hot so if I could get away with not wearing one then maybe I shouldn't.

Re: slip vs. no slip
If the seamstress said no, you are in the clear. It will be so much cooler and easier to move in- don't forget too the bathroom trips Here's a pic of my dress- no slip- just a g-string
Being that it's an A-line, I don't see a problem w/ no slip. I was not going to get a slip either, but then I fell in love w/ a ball gown...that most definitely needs a slip (I tried w/ out once and the dress just hung there strangely). I think you will be fine w/ out a slip.
