for a slipper basket - do you just get cheap black slippers (or any other color) and put them in a basket near the dance floor? or in the lobby? or bathroom? I've been to many weddings and never seen this but have heard it is helpful from people on this site.

We're having the DJ make an announcement. They will be on a table by the DJ.
Tip from Suezboss! I remember her saying she was in a wedding where all the little old ladies snatched up the slippers and the dancing girls never got any!

I kept our slipper basket in the ladies room. There wasn't a single pair left. I thought it would be a nice little touch - but that not a lot of people would wear them. Everyone had them on. People were actually carrying them out with them when they left.
My hall is going to have the waitstaff hand them out. I have 3 baskets and they will go around and allow ladies to pick out their size. When they are done, I will ask them to put the slippers where people can find them (bathroom, maybe).
