Slipper Basket

I do plan on it but it depends on how much it'll cost me, I was thinking of geting nice ballet slippers that match my bm's dresses as part of their gift.

I am going to leave flip flops at their tables so when they get into the RH they can change into them right away...I would love to do a slipper basket too, but I have no idea how to do it either (with sizing and all).

I think you just get a whole bunch of different sizes, I'm not sure what is appropriate, maybe a few more of the popular sizes? And I have no idea how many to get!

that's great for the hawaii wedding, ppl will def. use them! i dont know if people would really end up using them at my wedding so i dont think i will bother. it's a cute idea though

heather, danielle told me it wouldn't be fair if i was wearing flip flops and bridesmaids had to wear shoes.
So she voted for flip flops and Jo seconded her notion, so you guys get to wear them the whole time. I found some really pretty ivory ones for me but I don't know if you guys should try to get dyable ones to match the dress b/c wouldn't white look funnY? I dont knkow what to do!

IS it just for the BP?? I thought it would be cute to have one near the dance floor for all the lady guests-- so that they are not walking around barefoot dancing the night away!

ETA: I will definately be getting slippers for my BP-- I am too much of a control freak not to pick them out!!!!!!!

no it's usually a basket for everyone but I was just saying I'd get separate ones for my girls to match their dresses

I am trying to decide I am definitely gonna find some nice ones for the BP to wear the whole time. I think its a really cute idea for my wedding since it is in Hawaii. Still not sure. Its going to be tough buying a lot b/c I will either have to pay to ship them there or buy them when I get there bfore the wedding.

I am sure you can get them super cheap in china town.

I am doing one. I am having about 200-225 people and I ordered 6 dozen chinese slippers, they were $1.50 each, I ordered a variety of sizes all white slippers. I got a poem and put it in a picture frame to place next to the basket, it said:

So you bought new shoes to match your dress
and now your feet are soar
Please take a pair of slippers
so you can dance some more

I agree if I had a destination wedding it would definatley be a must but not at my RH. Cute idea by far!!
