I thought about it and decided Nay. I felt like with my guests, it would be a waste of $$$.
Nice idea though.

Re: slipper basket
personally, i've only been to one wedding where it was done and i dont think i'd miss it
also, since you're at CHCC, it's not one wedding at a time, so unless you're putting the basket in front of the band/DJ, your guests won't know they were from your wedding or whatever
and lastly, i don't really want to encourage people taking off their shoes. i would never take off my shoes at a wedding but some people do, so if you'd rather have this than bare feet, then go for it
also, probably would cost around $100-200 and i think that money is much better spend elsewhere IMO

Re: slipper basket
I am undecided about it. I was thinking about putting a few pairs in the bathroom 'courtesy' basket (Not sure what is called) for the girls. Maybe like 20 pairs.
My thinking is I want to keep my ballroom elegant.

Re: slipper basket
i had one and am soooo happy that i did!
my guests are still talking about the flip-flop basket i had!
i was actually surprised at how many people took flip flops! even DH's grandma (who doesn't ever wear flip flops) took a pair and told me she will be using them on her trip in august
i ended up paying about $120 total (flip flops + ribbon + tags) so i think it was money well spent.

Re: slipper basket
Im not a fan of the slippers sweetie. If I had to be in 4 inch heels for 12 plus hours - my guests had to suffer too.
And plus I want to keep my cute heels on for your entire wedding!

Nay, I decided it wasn't in the budget. I would rather put that money towards other things.

Re: slipper basket
I'm gonna nay it, but like someone else suggested, I may put a few pairs in the bathroom basket.

Re: slipper basket
I say nay. you can use those extra hundred bucks for something else! hehe. Its a nice thought and all but I personally feel people might not 'get it'. I was talking to my bridesmaids about this and not one understood why i wanted to do it so i figured nah and im having a lot of people from the old school so i dont think theyre going to want to remove their shoes! hehe

this is my main issue!
i don't want to encourage people to take off their shoes, but i'd rather them in slippers than barefoot (gross).

Re: slipper basket
you know, i went to a wedding last year that had it and i loved the idea (flip flops though not slippers) so when old navy had a sale i ran out and got 70 pairs of them. But i have been to about 4 or 5 weddings since then and none of them had it and i really didnt miss it. at this point, if i didnt already buy the flip flops i would prob just decide against it

I'm doing one. I just thought it was cute but I also don't think people will miss it if you don't have it.

Re: slipper basket
I think it's a cute idea. I may do one but it depends on how enthusiastic I am when it comes time to buy everything and create a basket.
