Slipper Basket - how many?

Hi ladies!

I want to have a slipper basket at the wedding for ladies who wore uncomfortable dancing shoes. How many do I need? I've seen some that come in small, medium and large, so I would have to get an assortment of sizes. Should I have 1 for every female guest? Will everyone really want one? I don't want to have a ton left over. The ones that I really like are about $4 each. (We're probably going to end up with 120-140 guests, I guess about roughly half will be female, so 60-70 ladies.) Would 30 slippers be enough?

Ack - sorry for my babbling! And advice would be greatly appreciated!

i don't think every person will want one. 30 may even be too many. i would do about 15 or so....too many slippers in the bathroom might look a lil zany!

I'm so doing this, I'd say about 30-40 you should have to be on the safe side. Where do you purchase them?

We did this for my sister's wedding It worked out great. She had 200 people at the wedding and bought 50 pairs of those new chinese slippers. They were gone in about 10 minutes. So I'd buy as many as you can.

She got them in Chinatown for $2 a pair.

We're estimating about 150 people - we're getting a basket of 50 pairs of slippers and anything that doesn't get used we're donating to the Salvation Army.
