Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
I went to michaels and bought a nice basket, ivory tulling and made them make a bow out of the tulling, wrapped the rest arund the edge of the basket then had a nice purple flower placed on the side. I went to the city and bought chinese slippers they were wholesale so we got about 65 for about 1.05 each.

Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
I'm doing Chinese Slippers because I figure the older people that are wearing stocking won't be able to put flip flops on.
AS for finding them cheap, I'm going to go to China Town. I can't find them lower then $3 online.

I got my flip flops at the dollar tree. Michaels also has them on sale now for $1. I got my baskets at Michaels and just added a ribbon and flower to them, along with a poem. HTH

That's exactly what I did. I ordered mine online, but it seems a lot of girls have been having trouble with the vendor I used.

Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
I'm doing flip flops. We don't have a lot of older women at the wedding and those who are coming wouldn't change their shoes or be dancing so much they have too.
I bought them all at Old Navy when they had the $1.00 flip flop sale

Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
I'm doing flip flops as well, got mine online from Old Navy using a bunch of discounts and they came to about $1.50 a pair. i got the actual baskets from Michaels, as well as the ribbon and paper to make tags for sizes on them.

Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
What if you do a mix of both slippers and flip flops. I want to say flip flops bc your wedding is in the summer but I also can see the issue with people wearing stockings.

I'm going to do slippers., I figure most gals will be wearing stockings in January. I really want to find little ballet slippers, but no luck.

old navy is having a sale in-stores only starting today for $1 flip flops (solid colors only)
i don't know if there's a limit to how many you can buy though.

Re: slipper or flip flop basket?
If we do this basket, it will be slippers. I can't picture my older aunts/grandmas wearing flip flops lol
