I keep hearing about a slip that i'm supposed to wear under my dress. WHY??? what is the purpose of this? is it just an old-school tradition of something? Is it's necessary? If so is it a special type of wedding slip or just a regular slip that i can get at any store. Full lenght, half length...i'm so confused. Also- I'm looking for Cinderella 'glass' slippers to wear. i've checked some stores on line who want $50 for these plastic (glass)-slippers. Does anyone know where i might be able to get them cheaper??? Thanks so much.

Re: Slips??...and Shoes.
Dunno about the slip....i think you only need it if its a poofy dress to help make it poofier? i found these for shoes:
the slip is to create the shape of the dress. If u have a tight fitted gown then i dont think u wear one.... but anything that 'poofs' needs the slip underneath. They have all different types...a-line, small ball gown, med. ball gown, full ballgown, hoop skirt, etc. Talk to ur bridal shop about it...i'm sure they can help u. a lot of bridal shops have in-stock samples to try on so you can decide which slip compliments the dress best..

The slip is to create fullness in the dress and to prevent the dress from constantly going between your legs when you are walking
