slow day at work, you know what that means! I have questions!
Good morning Ladies!
So I am making appointments with two DOCs, A Modern Day Affair and Once Upon an Event. I know I have time but I kind of just want to get it out of the way.
I am also making appointments with a few florists. I know I have asked this before but I am curious who you would reccomend. I made appointments with Flowers By Brian & Bayview Florist in Massapequa.
If you ladies are willing to share I am curious what your flower budget is? (I put up a poll in case anyone doesn't want to answer)
Flowers are freaking me out because I love them & want them to be perfect, I HAVE to make the right decision!

I highly recommend Flowers by Burton... they don't charge depending on the flowers you would like, as some other vendors do. They are wonderful to work with and really know their stuff. They are great with pricing too!
Oh and ps: LOVE Laura and Michelle from A Modern Day Affair!

I didn't have a budget at first because I had no clue what the price would be, but I was quoted over 5k at pedestals, and all the rest were in the 3s- I booked with Distinctive Floral Designs in Mineola because Flowers by Brian quoted me the exact same price and I was going to go with them, but Distinctive threw in a few extras... for around 200 guests, 6 groomsmen, 7 BMS, 1 MOH, two sets of parents, and one set of grandparents, it was around 3500. Figure a little more/less depending on the amount of centerpieces you need. I did high/low alternating centerpieces

I have 3 appts next month for florist: Black Dalhia, Hidden Essence and Flowers by Burton. I love flowers but we have a budget to stick to. I hope to spend no more than $3k. I initially wanted all high CP, but I'm open to having alternating high and low to offset the cost.

does she have a shop or work out of her home? I couldn't seem to find an address for her, just that she is in deer park

She works out of her home...she has an office there where you meet with her. When I emailed her about meeting she emailed me her address.

I would check Flowers by Burton. We had a budget of like 3000 and we spent $2100

I have a very small wedding of 60 guests. We will only be doing the bouquets for the 4 girls and myself, and maybe boutonnieres for the 3 guys and my FH. Centerpieces and everything else will most likely be DIY. I love flowers too, and if I had the budget, I would definitely spend around $2000-$3000

My centerpieces are included with my rh and all bouquets, boutieners and corsages(except for mine I will have a brooch bouquet) are being made by my aunt with silk flowers so my flower budget is pretty much non existent.

Hidden essence all the way! She works out of her home in deer park. I also recommend once upon an event, they've been awesome so far!

I budgeted $3K and we're using Dalsimers. I looked into some other cheaper florists, but they didn't have what I'm looking for. I needed someone who could theme a wedding and not just put bouquets together. We're having lots and LOTS of candles, candelabras, vases, urns, the whole nine. I wanted a very specific centerpiece and I was able to find exactly what I wanted within my budget with Dalsimers.

This is me too! I don't really care about flowers so I'm kind of whatever about getting particular flowers. I'm hoping I can still get the look I want without paying too much.
