Hi Brides! We are trying to find a rehearsal dinner location in Nassau County. Our bridal party consists of just family, so our dinner will really just be about 16 people. We'd like to have dinner at a nice restaurant (we'd like to get a little dressed up), but we also don't want to be in a main dining area with other diners. I'd like to have a grooms cake, give gifts to bridal party/parents, etc. I feel a private room would be best for us -- but do all places require you to book these as a 'private party' type event? Your recommendations and advice would be greatly appreciated!

My Uncle has a restaurant in Oceanside, Lawson's Pub (its not actually a pub though - long story) I believe they have a private area within the restaurant and the food is great and prices are good! Also, I know that he does all his bottles of wine around $20ish a bottle to keep the prices reasonable. He used to own Sole in Oceanside and Tuscany in Rockville Centre (that was a long time ago though)
Im actually thinking of having mine there - even though our wedding isnt for another 500+ days :)

Tavern 18 in New Hyde Park is great! For 16 people they won't give you the separate room, but they have a side dinning area with glass doors. I love them!

The Wantagh Inn has a separate area of the main dining room that would absolutely perfect for 16 people! It is kinda like the bottom part of a capital L. We have had a lot of family functions there and the food and service is always excellent!
