Small feet

Small feet

I'm wondering if anyone here had the same situation. My shoe size is 4.5. With some shoes I can get away with a size 5, but for my wedding shoes I want to make sure they fit well and are comfortable. There's a shoe store specifically for petite sizes on the UES in the city where I've bought from before, however their evening shoe collection is VERY limited, ie. I only had a choice between one pair of dyeable pumps and open-toed shoes, both which were very eh, and uncomfortable looking. The saleswoman said they'll possibly get new choices in November...

Anyone know of a place, either in the city or LI, where they have lots of small sizes?

Hey, i have a 4.5 too and lucky if i find a 5. I also heard of the shoe store in manhattan. I was going to go there this weekend. Wow isnt that funny. Its so hard for us, i feel your pain. I'm going to do some research and let you know.

maybe you'd have better luck finding brands that carry your size, then checking to see what stores carry those brands?

here's a link - all the shoes listed are size 4.5

i bought my wedding shoes online from zappos.com

they were inexpensive
fit just as they said they would
had a 1 year return policy

they have a huge variety of shoes and I just checked ..it says it carries your size

good luck

Wow, thanks for the link! I'll definitely look into this. I know Stewart Wietzman often makes 4.5's, and I saw a couple of bridal shoes in that size on his site, but didn't want to spend quite so much (though I guess I could dye them black and wear them another time).

sunshine&jules: The store in the city, Giordano's, is really great for casual/dressy shoes, loafers and sandals and I would recommend you checking it out if only to see that there are shoes made in our size! They are a bit pricey because they're mostly 'designer', but worth it if you're buying a pair for work or something that you'd wear often -- since they actually fit! I thought I'd have more luck with just a pair of white evening shoes, tho.

I have small feet too.

There is a website Cinderella of Boston that makes shoes for only small sizes. They have a ton of different shoes, but not that many white ones. I did find a few pairs of strappy sandals I'd like.

Check it out:

ETA: This is also great b/c I have Wide small feet, so I need small shoes in wide width, and most of their shoes come in regular and wide.
