My FI and I met with our officiant today and he went through the ceremony and had us do a small rehearsal. We were both so excited we couldn't stop laughing. We still have about 7 weeks but we are so excited. We also got our marriage license today from Hempstead town hall. The whole thing took 20 minutes. This is not a really informative post, I just wanted to share my excitement.

Yipee for you, my day is the week before yours, we better get on that license.
To the person that made a comment on the license, you have to have it for 24 hrs or more, and it is good for 60 days.

Shamma, let the countdown begin!
I have to admit girls that I am a little disappointed because our responses totally stopped coming. We have so many still due but we haven't gotten any in days. We got a bunch in the beginning, then they were coming in one or two a day, now they have stopped. Did anyone else encounter this?

same happened to us, I have 2 1/2 weeks left & haven't heard from some people who were in the first batch of invitations that had a response of mid May... it's sad that some people are so rude......

jennbaby, it will fly by. We have been engaged for a year and a half and the time went by so fast!! But I know exactly how you feel.

Since we sent out our invites before the postage increase, they are now due back. I had to send a reminder email to people letting them know that the postage increase is going in to effect and if they choose to respond after that date, to please remember to add the additional 3 cents stamp.
I hope that puts a pep in their step. I hope the ones that are lingering are going to say yes, b/c I would have to hate to go to my B list so late in the game. I do not know why people take so long with responding on these things, this part is the worse. I need the numbers for my hall, I need the names for place cards, I need the names for seating arrangement and these slow responses are causing me to lose my mind
Well it will be over soon and our big day when we will celebrate and put all this no rsvp and planning behind us, then we can go to our HM
