At my old job, it was always me too. People literally used to walk to it and see that it was out of paper and go to ANOTHER FLOOR to use another one!!!!!!!!

for some people, they're stupid and don't know how to do it. for others, they're scared they'll break it. and for others still, they're just lazy. people are annoying aren't they!?

Why am I always the one who has the change the paper in the printer ? Do people just walk by and pretend they don't see it?

I used to do that... I just started to bring enough for my job only until another fool got conned into it.

The best was during the process I actually had one bright interrupt me during a phone call to say “Veronica, there’s no paper in the printer” when I told her where the paper was she just stared at me.

I really can’t stand the amount of BS paper hanging around the printers. We’ve got a color printer and people send jobs to it but never pick it up it gets set aside to ‘wait’ in case they come back (no I don’t do this) and then two or three days later that job is now at the bottom of a very unruly stack of various unclaimed jobs. Next thing you know you’ve got a really big mess of various pages of crap. I just trash the whole thing, every last page. It’s a printer, if someone printed it once they can do it again!

I'll change the papaer, but I never change the toner in the copy machine

I work in IT and people will actually come to the support people and tell us the printer is out of paper and to refill it. It takes longer to walk to IT then opening a drawer, a ream of paper and placing it inside. One girl I worked with had come up with a real clever answer - stopped people from coming back. She basically just started to give them step by step instructions on how to do so the people would get so embarrassed they would walk away all red!

i was just going to say in my last job, when i started as a admin asst., people would jam the copier, then walk away and leave it for me to find. how hard is it to come to me and say 'hey i'm too lazy to fix the copier, but theres a jam so fix it'.

We have a small office, so there aren't so many people to pass the buck too.

I replenish anything I use including the water cooler ( but I always spill it, b/c I am to short to get proper leverage) & toners in several machines.

I attempt to fix paper jams & clogged toilets too.
If you don't no one else will.


We have 1 crazy lady who puts up signs my the copei r sayignwhere the paper is kept, and inteh bathroom witha diagram of how to cahnge the rolls of TP & by the trash sayignwhere the recycling goes.

I sense her frustraion, but her signs are a little overboard.

Thats funny...I feel like I am the one that usually has to do it too. Its almost like the roll of paper towel at home....No one wants to use the last sheet, and I usually get stuck changing it.
