small VENT

So, my BIL's brother just got engaged to a girl he's been dating for like... hmm.. 8 months and when they first got engaged they were thinking of getting married in May 2011. Totally fine - no where close to my wedding.

WELL... I was talking to my sister yesterday and she said they are now thinking of getting married 2 WEEKS before me... But here's the worse part: My sister (My MOH) is in the wedding. So is my BIL (who's in ours)... AND my niece and nephew are the flower girl and ring bearer for their wedding (also ours)... ALL TWO WEEKS before us!!! I'm so annoyed at this... it really is so frustrating...

What do you ladies think? Am I overreacting? FH thinks I need to chill out and thinks that as long as they're not getting married the same day as us, it's fine. I say WHATEVER to that! Ugh!

ugh, I don't think you are overreacting at all. I would be pretty upset also. Hopefully they change their mind about the date.

I'd react the same way.....maybe someone will take all the keys from the valet from their wedding so yours will be that much more awesome :)

Omg I would be so ANGRY! The strangest part is that they don't see anything wrong w/ it. It may also put a financial burden on FH's family bc 2 weddings in 2 weeks is expensive. I would tell FH that side of it and maybe he can talk them out of it. I'm sorry

You are def not overreacting!! They should give you your own time in the spotlight and then wait a while and they can have theirs.

Honestly yes, you are. Their wedding doesn't make yours any less special.

I don't think its a big deal. My cousin is getting married 8 days before me. I don't mind. As long as its not the same day!

Thanks for the advice ladies... I wish I could say something to them but I feel awkward and I think my sister and BIL would be upset if I did. Guess I'm just going to have to live with it... sigh.
