SMALL wedding venues?

SMALL wedding venues?

I'm considering cutting my guest list back quite a bit.
What are some good venues for a wedding and reception for about 25, or maybe up to 50 people? Outdoor, rustic, woodland, garden... anything NOT 'wedding hall'-ish. Thanks!

For a glist that small you are prob better off going to a restaurant that has a private room for your reception.

What about restaurant-ish? I don't know if they finished renovations, but George Washington Manor in Roslyn has a small room apparently for small parties/get togethers. I've not seen that room personally as its on the second floor of the building.

Very old building obviously but run by a company that has good restaurants!

They have a super tiny yard in the back for cocktails and stuff that is perfect for 50-ish people.

Maybe Milleridge Inn or Cottage (whatever it's called?) They do Sweet 16s as well so they must have some smaller spaces.
My minimum at Westbury for the spring (beginning of peak season) is 84 but they do have that smaller room upstairs. I hear the food is great so I'm sure that's comparable to having a restaurant.
We also looked at Trumpets at the Gate out east... very beautiful. It's part of a restaurant but a separate building. You can get married out on the deck overlooking the sound. Totally gorgeous and if I personally was really set on waterfront I may have gone with them. I'm not sure of their minimum if they have one but they do a lot of anniversary parties, etc.
