I hope you all had a wonderful holiday this year ... I'm reposting a topic that I started awhile back, just wondering if there are any new brides who have feedback on Smithtown Landing Country Club.

I don't really have any feedback, but FH and I went there when we were looking for RH. We loved the golf course and that there were many great spots for photos.

ive never been inside but i have played golf there before, and its beautiful! you will def get some great pictures!

We didn't have our wedding there, but we've been to two events there - an engagement party in the l-shaped room and a surprise wedding (everyone was told it was an engagement party... until the couple got married right after cocktail hour on the dance floor!). Any who... The ball room is pretty, but the bathroom was very bleh, it could use some major updating. On the contrarty, the l-shaped room was blah and that bathroom was nicer! The food is not good. Not bad, but not good. The engagement party was buffet, so Dh and I tried it all. Eh. And at the wedding he had the beef, and I had the salmon. Bland, over-cooked. And at the wedding there was mold on my strawberry (on the dish that is there when you initially sit down). I don't mean to offend anyone!

FH cousin got married there in June. FH was the best man and he also worked there but over 5 years ago. There pictures were amazing and they were so helpful. The food was nothing amazing but not terrible either. If you have a specific questions I can ask her.

I went there when I was looking for my RH too. I actually liked it a lot there. I've never been to a party there so I can't comment on that, but I know it is Lessing's food which is highly rated by some.

I just went to a wedding there in November and it was WONDERFUL!
FH and I were both pleasantly surprised by how great the food was! It was super delicious! If you have any questions about anything specific let me know!

Just keep in mind Lessings has different menus for different places. We had our wedding at The Vanderbilt Mansion and the menu is different there from other venues. I know for sure because I asked about that. I had been two these events prior to my wedding and was concerned my food wasn't going to be top notch.
