Smithtown Town Hall for Marriage License?

Has anyone gone to this town hall for their marriage license? And was it very busy in there?

We planned to go on Friday afternoon since FH will be off this week and it's easy enough for me to duck out for an hour or so at work. But now we have another appointment just after 5, so I might want to just take off a few hours early instead...if it's really busy there I want to make sure we have enough time to get it done and be to our 5:15 appointment in time...is leaving work by 3:00 enough time? It's surely not going to take more than an hour and a half, right?

We got our marriage license there a couple of weeks ago. We went on a Wednesday at 12:00 and no one was there but us. It took about 20 minutes. The longest part was waiting for them to type the marriage license with all the information. They are very nice there and I think it cost us $41. Good luck.

Awesome...did you have to bring your SS card as well, or just give them the number? I read that they were one of the only towns that require your SS card in addition to the birth cert and license.

We got ours there also, there was one other couple that came in shortly after us. The woman who helped us was very nice. I would def. recommend going there.
