smoking

so i went to the Dr. and I got the medicationthat helps you quit. I will start tomorrow. My aunt and my cuz did it and havent smoked since dec. so my dad and i are going to try now.

... promised FH that when i got the ring i'd quit so hes been pretty mad at me that ididnt... hopefully now i will for good!!!

i quit almost a year and 1/2 ago and now i cant stand smoking

Quit! It's SO bad for you.

My dad set aside $$ that he would have spent on cigarettes each week and put it in a box. At the end of his first smoke-free year, he bought himself a present with the money. (He ad seven hundred dollars in that box, btw. And this was 12 years ago!)

Try it - lol you could buy something wedding related with your cigarette money!

ok just so your aware my dad after his heart attack in Jan had NO choice but to quit since it caused the heart attack and so they started him on the chantix and it gave him terrible night terrors so just be aware that if it starts you know it can be from the med. he stoped that one and started the patch and it worked great untill he started getting palpitations.. his body was all Fed up from all the other meds so he has enough will power by this point to do it cold turkey.. so just be aware you can get the side effects an it works differently for everyone! GOOD LUCK!! you'll be so happy when your done! my dad hates the smell but he does still get some cravings when hes stressed! just try not to give into it!!

i quit a few years ago - and i cant believe i am at this point now where even the smell of it makes me sick

which is tough since FH smokes!

FH is so happy, just told him. He is a psychologist and was telling me all about the medication. It has the same ingredients as Welbutrin an anti depressant so he said i might be hyper. Ill deal as long as it helps me stop. its time!!!

The first week you continue smoking and then the following you try to stop. ill let you all know how it goes!!!!

I cheated tonight. I had a cigarette for the first time since the end of january. It's very hard to quit but it's so worth it because i haven't smoked in about a month and a half and i feel like i can breathe much better... Good Luck
