OMG KARA!!!!!!

I'm sooo sorry I missed this post. You have been on my mind dearly. You of all people know what I have been going through, b/c of everything w/ your brother. Thank you soooo much for keeping Meckye as well as myself, and Family in your prayers.

I sat next to him and we read each and every last post regarding his situation, and he as well as my mother were in complete Awe. She ofcorse was balling w/ tears,and he's like......'Wait a minute, who are these girls?' I left him today to come back home (actually on the I95 in traffic as I type this) and it was the hardest thing I could have done. But my mom is still there w/ him as well as many friends who love him dearly.

The doctors say that he is truly a trooper,and they're hoping for him to come home by sometime next week. They just want to monitor him for infection purposes, but they say he's is recovering well, and fast considering his injuries. Although his left lung did collapse it still has the ability to function,a nd get back on track through some type of therapy, and his kidneys must be stronger than mines b/c his dialysis treatment will be very short. Which is one of the reason why I love him sooo much.....

For those that don;t know I have been on dialysis since I was 16. I stopped in 01 after I had my daughter but when I had my son in 03 I started back up. I had a situation recently where my blood jept becomming infected w/ bacteria, and the only cause to fix it wuld be another kidney, or surgey to clip the end of an important port onmy left kidney. Well I had the surgery, and so far so good, but I wouldn;t be out of the clear for about 6mths. Well that s where Meckye caame in.... He was going to give me his kidney, but b/c of way happened to him recently ha can;t anymore. It's too damaged to help anyone but himself..... so he was very upset to find out that he wouldn;t be able to give me his. Well to make long story short we both were very disappointed, but he told me the we have gooten through soo much that it's now way we won't make it through this one......Just thinking about what he said makes me miss him more.

Okay I don't want to bore you guys anymore,a nd it's making me very much so emotional anyay. But thank you sooo much. All of you guys. It really means, and ment alot to me. The power of prayer is all it takes.....

And to Kara once again sweetie you are the best, and give your brother a very big hug, an kiss for me when you see him

YAY!!! I am so happy that he's getting better! Is it a full transplant that you need? I was watching the Sunday Morning show on CBS and they had a story about a website called Matching Donor.com. It's a place where you can put an 'ad' (for lack of a better term) and have someone who would be compatable with you donate the organ. It bypasses the waiting list, which is the controversy around it, but it might be worth a try!
I still am so happy he's getting better so fast! YAY!!!!!!

Carolyn, thank you so much for the love and support... It's funny that you posted this b/c my MOH called me sunday afternoon while I was still in VA, and told me she saw the same special on TV. We're def looking into that, but my DR. is more so trying to get on track were as I don;t have to go back on dialysis,and where a full transplant would be last option. We just have our fingers crossed that my surgery form April was a success.

Kara my love you are truly a blessing in disguise,and your so right about these bonds we have w/ our siblings. You and your brother aren;t even twins but share the same amazing realationship which only leads me to believe that love is love, no matter what. I will definately giveyo a call tonight
