snapper inn

i have an appointment to look at the wedding pavillion on wednesday. the pictures on the website are beautiful, but does anyone have first-hand experience with them? their cocktail hour menu looked a little bare.

also, space for 125 people?

I considered the Snapper Inn seriously. I liked it - but yes, their food menu is bare. There is no separate room for you to hang out in - no bridal suite, and no separate bathroom for you ... the cocktail hour space is in front of the pavilion, on the grass, so if it's raining, your CH will be in the same room as the reception. I didn't like that because I wanted the RH room to be sort of a suprise for the guests. Even if the CH is on the lawn -- they have to walk through the pavilion to get to the bathrooms.

For less money, you can get a better deal elsewhere. Their price is the same on Fri, Sat or Sun. - day wedding, night wedding, it doesn't matter. And it's a buffet -- you can get a sit down for less.

But I loved the setting and was interested despite all of this ... but then i found my place and that was that. :)

Good luck!!

Sorry - it definitely has room for 125.

Also, look into the Old Field Club if you like the snapper inn. Similar but a little more upscale. I do not know what their prices are, though.

i went to a wedding there and it was beautiful! The cocktail hour was a little small but it was fine--weddings usually have too much food anyway. it was beautiful on the water!!! esp at night. fun wedding!
