I'm in Smithtown and it started snowing around noon today--- the fam and I were just out shoveling everything so it's half as bad tomorrow, and I brought a tape measure out.
As of 10pm, there are 11 inches of snow in Smithtown, and that was measured on pavement that was clear this morning.
11 inches in 10 hours!

I am listening to the news right now and i'm waiting to see how much we got here in the city. I live in queens...
We're probably going to get 18 inches. I love snow when it falls and it's fluffy and pretty. But I hate the aftermath when you have to dig your way out.

No but I didn't feel like trudging thru the yard for a spot where he didn't blow ...
I did walk the dogs around 8PM and in the street where the plow had come by around 5PM, there was at least four new inches.
I'll take the trusty ruler out in the morning

OK bedtime for me - I LOVE sleeping when it's cold and snowy (or when it's warm and rainy, or cold and rainy, or just cold...well, you get it.) I was at work at 7 this morning, but I'm off tomorrow! Yay!
