Snow Cancellation Policies for winter brides???

We just moved our planned date from the summer time to the winter. Not only is it more cost effective for us (we are paying for evrything ourselves), but my FH argues that we should not ask guys to wear suits in hot weather...

When I went to my first couple of halls today I asked about snow cqancellations & most halls told me THEY determine what is a feasible snow cancellation? Does anyone kow anything about this?

Some halls do have a snow cancellation policy, but it is a good thing to look onto

That is the reason we are getting married in February. FH would not wear a tux in the summer. I didn't even ask about snow cancelation policies. I will still be there. Besides think positive, it won't snow. We had enough this year.

I imagine it would have to be A LOT of snow for the catering hall to allow you to cancel or postpone the party. But remember you would also have to have a similar agreement with all of your other vendors (limos, church, entertainment, photo, etc.)

i can't see a hall canceling a function due to snow. they already paid a ton of money to buy the food!!!!! i wouldn't worry about it.

We were married 1/31. The hall basically said that if it was a major snow storm (1 foot +) we could postpone the wedding & they would work with us.

The hall won't cancel, but your guests may not come. Especially the far away ones. I worked in a catering hall and there was a very snowy day- the wedding went on!
