I checked the weather about an hour ago..its looking like 1-3 inches of slush. which means no snow day. which means the kids will be CRAZY because they were expecting a snow day

Re: snow day?
we have 2' of snow on top of 2' of slush/ice in Brooklyn. on my walk home from the train i stepped in a puddle & brought home a glass full of water. its really windy & cold out too. my boss told us to use our own discretion in the morning. he lives in Rockville Centre, not sure what the prediction for their is.

I'm not sure. My boss told me to use my judgement. The city is supposed to get more than Long Island.

Re: snow day?
they just upped the snow amounts for wester suffolk from 2-5 to 5-10 inches. My street is completely covered in snow. If it keeps snowing like this I dont know.

I hope not for you teacher types so they stop taking time off of your warm weather breaks but for anyone who has an office job, I have my fingers crossed for us all that they close!!!!!!!

see, the remainder of the 'breaks' at my school are actually religious holidays
and since we use public school transportation/have regents at the year, they cant extend it either
then again im only part time so it's not too bad, but classes at my school run from 8-345..which is a lot longer than most public schools which is why i think we're okay
but maybe we could have a play date if we're both off!!!
