To make this day productive?! Can't go anywhere... so what can I do from home? Suggestions? I haven't done much so there's plenty on my list! What are you going to do?

With our wedding around the corner, I am going to finish my programs, finish the table list, shop online for gifts, clean the apt. b/c my parents are coming in from TX on Sunday! I was praying for this snow day!!!

Well, I have my reception site & church, photo, video, and DJ. I'm pretty sure of my colors (though no BM dresses yet) and that's about it - so there's lots left to do! My BP is not finalized yet (waiting for answer from one GM). My guestlist is more or less finalized though I need tons of addresses still....

JUJU- Can you believe we are in single digits. OMG- We're Getting married next week!! Todays wedding agenda consists of:
Finishing rehearsal dinner chocolates Finishing pew bows Writing Placecards Making Unity Candle Wrapping Kids Wedding Favors Packing for Honeymoon Finishing up Programs
And I am sure there is more!!
Can you tell I REALLY needed this snow day!!
ETA- Wrap parent gifts and rest of bridal party gifts!!

May be you could start aloting seats? Making a must play and don't play list for the dj? Must take photo list for your photographer. What are you doing for favors? Finalizing some addresses of your guests by calling? Shop online for gifts for your bms? Pick a dress for your bm? Decide on the type of flowers and bouquet you want?

Those all sound like great ideas to me. I will be making my photographer must-take list, video must-take list, and my rabbi requires a letter as to why we love and are marrying significant other.

Im finishing wrapping the small candies for the guest book table and putting the wedding rice in the tule. I also bought some things to make thank you cards for my girls and I have a lesson plan for work. that should keep me busy! I had the driveway shoveled and car cleaned off by 5 am so at least thats done!!

Can you do templetes for programs or menu cards. If I was home from work that's what I would be working on. I am so jealous!!!!

That's a great idea! JimmysBride, we are getting married on the same day!!!! Except that you have SO much more done than I do. I did reception, photo and my gown. I still have to do video. Who did you go with? I should maybe call some officiants today. They're likely all stuck indoors too.

I'm another October9th-er, and I only have church , reception & gown. ACtually the gown isn't even ordered, but ther eis a deposit untill Iget shoes. Anwya, I'm at work. If I wasn't I'd be resaerching hotels to block rooms and researching photographers & bands. And maybe researching the HM, even thought FH is all over that right now, it be'd nice to look at pictures of someplace warm right now. . .

Definitely look into Bliss Productions for video. I'm not using them but only because I decided to book with my photo but I would have booked them without even looking anywhere else because I love their work!! Also, I hear Wild Rose gets raves on here.
Tourist -- good idea too. I started looking into hotels briefly a few weeks ago and sort of dropped because I got annoyed with it but I can probably do some more today.
I just bought my table cameras on E-bay!! One thing crossed off the list!!! Yay!!!

Nope, no shoes. I need that! I can certainly research that! Hotels too. Anyone have any ideas of hotels that are in the Flushing area? That's where my yacht sails from. It's very close to Laguardia Airport so I would imagine it'll be easy to find hotels, but I don't know if It'll be easy to make arrangements... Hummm...

I am staying at the Sheraton at JFk and I used to work in FLushing I know there is a Sheraton over there also. Also this store has great dyeable shoes dyeables.com
