snow delay?

Ok, I know I shouldn't complain since some people are getting married this weekend, but It is supposed to snow up to 8 inches in Westchester, and I am not sure if I can ge to out to LI to meet with the Milleridge people on Saturday.

I don't want to put it of, I really need to get started.

I may see if we can change it to Sunday, but even that is so far away.

Oh my. I know you don't want to put this off any longer but I would. It's going to be a nightmare driving into LI tomorrow!!! Relax....I think reception site shopping can wait one more weekend.

If you do decide to drive in anyway -- good luck and be careful!!

Re: snow delay?

Thanks,

Christy from Milleridge just called, and she was so sweet. We rescheduled for Sunday. She said she called me first since she noticed I have a non -LI area code.

My fiance was just as crazy as me, not wanting to wait untill next week, he was gonna drive in the snow, but Christy said they may close tomorow.
Ahh, feel so much better now. . .

I'm glad it worked out! (You're definitely much better off going on Sunday!)

Just bear in mind that in this weather no one is going to come in and book your date or anything.

It would be CRAZY to drive...my dad works in Hicksville and lives in Miller Place...it usually takes him about 40 mins to drive home. It took him four hours !!!!

and it's only supposed to get worse...upgraded to a blizzard for tonight.

stay safe, stay at home!

Re: snow delay?

We went Sunday ( no traffic ), Kristy was very helpful--the carriage house is perfect for us and our non-weddingy wedding.

We didn't book yet though because I have to find a church first. They had several dates available that would work for us, so I'm starting to breath a little now.

I'm going to try & get the courage to call my old church today or tomorrow.
