DH and I want to get FIL a snowblower for Christmas. I think we can convince MIL to go in with us. Does anyone have one? Which one? Do you like it? We are seriously considering the Craftsman gas with electric start. THANKS!
We borrow from our neighbor (or put a plow on the lawn tractor) but my mom wants to get one for my brother for Xmas. FH recommended one at HD for $449 - it's 3.25HP but if we were going to purchase, he would want 4 or 5HP. Hope this helps a little. I guess it also depends on how much snowblowing you need to do. We have a lot of area to do.
What kind does you neighbor have? How do you like it? FIL is 76 and BIL doesn't help (but lives at home). This Craftsman we were looking at has 5hp and takes up to 10' deep, 18' wide. We checked HD too, but found that the Craftsman got as good reviews as the Toro or the other brand (MLT or something). Right now the Craftsman is on sale for $329.
