so originally I wanted to do dinner at Lips and then do the awesome 80s prom.. which if you do that they cut you a deal with the dinner cause they act like even planners ... anyway, when i first told all my girls, they all agreed. Well time for booking (they recommend a month in advance) and nobody can go all of a sudden. One of my BM has a vacation that week (which I knew about), the other one hasnt even responded to yet) and my other BM (my FSIL), FMIL and FHs step mom all live in LI and refuse to take the train to manhattan so they are car pooling and will only go to the dinner not the prom party ... so basically that will leave me with 3 girls to go to the prom.. which I feel is kind of alot of money, esp if they pay for me, which I know they will.
Im just super bummed about this.. what should I do?

i think you will have fun with the 3 of you at the prom... unless you want to change your plans all together something in long island may be a better fit for your group who dont like to travel etc ...i am sorry hun that stinks :(

the problem is that its not a better fit.. my whole BP and friends are either in queens,. bklyn or manhattan .. they are the only ones in LI ... Im just sad cause she is FSIL and a BM and she was like really annyoed it was in the city and told me she wasnt taking the train and since they are car pooling they cant stay late

Maybe you can do 2 bach parties? Like go with your girls to the city, and then another night do something more low key on the island? For multiple reasons, me and my younger sister were not able to go to our older sister's party (i lost my coverage at work last minute, and she was underage), so we made a night out of it at Houlihan's and just had dinner and drinks and then acted like fools till 2AM dancing in our bedroom lol. Maybe you can do something like that?

I would say just go to 80's prom with the 3 girls. You will have a blast with them. you dont need a huge group to have fun. you just need girls who are willing to have fun there with you.

ITA! My FSIL can't go to my Bach party and I was a little bummed but I understand it is something out of her control and I got over it.. None of my friends who are not in my BP are going so it is just going to be me and my 4 best friends.. Honestly I think it is better this way because I think it will be more fun/easier to communicate with people when it is a smaller group.

I say just go with the 3 girls that want to go. It's more fun to go with people who want to be there anyway. You will have a larger group at dinner too. I am sure you'll have a blast.

thanks thats what I was thinking too ... i dont want to have two... we planned this day from like months ago because Fh is going to AC or Mohegan sun that weekend... so we decided to do it on the same weekend. I just feel like its my party and they should be there for me.. if they really wanted to come they would.. I shouldnt have to have another night in LI to please them, when its my wedding.. UGH im turning into a bridezilla

You are not a bridezilla at all!! As you said you planned this a LONG time ago.. You are going to have ONE bachelorette party in your whole life and if they don't feel like making the trip than that is on them. I definitely don't think you should plan a second party unless they suggest it.. That might be a different story then!

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. For her bach party everyone dropped out of going at the last minute.....I felt soooo bad! So the bride, her sister and I went to Culture Club just the 3 of us. We had a blast!!! I think if just the 3 of you go to the 80's Prom you will still have a great time!

I would just go and have fun with your 3 friends that are going. I agree that it's your wedding and you shouldnt have to change anything around. You will probably have a blast with them!! Plus it sounds like you will have a good size group for the dinner part.
