So, am I just unemployable?

So, am I just unemployable?

I just found out I didn't get my 5th job. I'm getting so depressed about this.

I know it's still early for teachers, but almost my entire program has a job. And, we can't sign a lease until I get a job... so now we may lose the apartment

At least I found out why I didn't get it this time - because they hired someone with experience.

The principal said they may have another position open once he gets kindergarten numbers, but i don't know.

I'm just so down right now, I don't know how we're going to live next year since kevin is still in school

Sorry, I just needed to vent. Thanks.

Then it wasn't the right job for you, one will come along, and it will be perfect!

Listen, I went through this two years ago with teaching jobs. I sent out my resume EVERYWHERE in like April and May, I didn't get ONE SINGLE call....BUT THEN...in August, I got a TON of phone calls. I think they like to wait until August because they know more about how many positions will be open. Hang in there. You WILL find a job, and it will be the right one

Awhile ago, I had the same problem with interviews. And it can get depressing, but the most important thing you can do right now is recognize that most likely, it's nothing against you personally. Also that you will find a great job in time.

Now that I'm on the other side of the table, I have to say if I don't choose someone, it is not because I didn't like something about them, but they don't have the wealth of experience as someone else, or their previous experience is not as directly related to the job, or I just don't think they are ready for the job. But it's nothing personal--when I was on the other side of the table, I took these rejections as a personal affront. Really, they are not. Keep plugging, you will find something soon! And don't focus on what everyone else has if you can help it.
