So Annoyed!!!

I have a few good friends from college, but I've sort of drifted out of touch with others. There are two girls who are really good friends, but I've only stayed in touch with one. Now the first is saying she doesn't think she will come to my wedding because I haven't 'invited the second and she's not sure if she would know anyone--but she's been invited with her fiance!!! I just couldn't justify inviting someone that I haven't heard from--not even an email--in over 3 years! Plus, this is all coming through another friend.

I can't believe people would base their decision of whether or not to attend on who's going to be there. I thought this was about supporting friends and wanting to be there for someone on their special day.

don't invite her at all anymore!! she sounds like she doesn't want to go anyway. or just keep her invatation pending and if she goes , she goes! just tell her ur alright with it either way...

When my friend got married she invited me to be in her wedding party. I honestly only knew her and her now dh, that was it. I went to the engagement party by myself, sat with strangers. But if they were friends with her, how mean could they be??? She's a sweetheart. So I just tried to make the best of it. But when the shower and then the wedding came along, everything winded up being even better. Hopefully, she'll come around.

I am sorry you are in this situation.

I went to my ex's wedding. I didn't know anyone but his family- and he didn't invite me with a date! But I was there to see him get married and celebrate him. I ended up spending most of the cocktail hour alone (which sucked), but then I met people and I ended up dating someone I met there. If she doesn't want to go to your wedding because she doesn't think she will have fun, doesn't sound like such a good friend.

Three years is a long time not to hear form someone at all. The people that are meant to be there will!
