I had a dr. appt for 4:30 today for what i knew was a bad sinus infection
The dr. didnt even see me until 6:20!! I was falling asleep in the waiting room! Why do they do that?!?!?!?!

beacuase each patient has different problems and needs to be seen..and you want him to take his time when he gets to u so hes taking his time with everyone else.. so it holds things up!... and if they do labs in the office such as strep and blood work and urinalysis.. it takes extra time to get the results... (sorry i work i a doc. office and all i hear is patients complainig about the wait)

i know but they take blood and all but they dont process it there - it gets sent to a lab

are u sure... sometime u dont realize but they do processs the bloods.. not foreveryone cuz some insurences wont cover it... but i do understand i get mad when i wait more then a half hour!! specially when ur sick!

no i am positive, they send it out to the labs - everytime im there i wait at least an hour - it *****!

My doctor makes me wait for hours so i finally changed him and went to this other person. I haven't seen them in two years i use to go to the HIP center w/ babylon. I hate the place but its all i know so i still go there and they always make u wait for long periods of time and they don't process labs there unless its a emergency. They use Quest.. Only reason i know is because i get billed for the doctors visit then extra for the labs by quest. Eeeks!
I hope you feel better... drink lots of tea nd lemon and get a humidifyer for your room.

lol I think I read something about that. Seriously everyone in my office has sinusitis. Maybe it's just a cold and we're in denial

i dont really feel like i have a cold though i've had a headache for 12 days!!! major pressure in my forehead and face around my cheekbones - awful!!!
BTW - my dr. is right near your office bldg - across the street and down about 2 blocks

My mom said when we lived in new mexico that if you had an appointment and the doctor didn't see you within a half hour of that time...your visit was free
New york doctors would be BROKE if this was the case

i agree...and i hate it when you have an appointment and then you walk back and everyone is just in a pow wow behind the nurses station
I'm a waitress....if people don't get what they want right away they ***** and moan...should be the same thing
