So annoyed...

Did you ever get those spam emails where it asks you to act as someone's next of kin? Supposedly you get all sorts of money and all that crap?

I get them a lot in my yahoo email but no where else...WELL..today I got one with the subject 'URGENT: George Davidson's Next of Kin'...well, my dad who just passed away is George Davidson...it was total spam but it totally set me off....I emailed the guy back and told him off but, ugh!!!!!! It ruined my day!

Wow!! That would set me off too!! I'm sorry!

Thanks...I know it was random as the email said he passed away with his wife and only daughter in a plane crash..not true but seriously?! How skeezy are people?! UGH!!!!

Wow- so sorry that you had that happen to you... try and fight the urge to respond because sometimes that opens you up to more- when you respond they can see that it is a legitimate email address and then sometimes they sell it to more spammers.

That's what my FH says...he is a network admin. and he reported the email addy on some program so he won't be able to keep harassing people...thank god for my FH being a nerd!

i get those emails all the time.my brother almost fell for one.
i'm so sorry this one set you off like that, it would have set me off too.

ugh i HATE those emails! so sorry that that particular one hit home for you.

what's sad is that there are some ppl out there for FALL for it. thats like the scam where you are trying to sell something on like ebay, and they say 'i'll pay you with a check--but its going to be in a higher amount, you cash it and then send me the difference' and then it turns out the check is bogus, and your are responsible for the amount!

I'm sorry. I hate spam also. I get so much of it.

my grandma passed away in 2005 - and her name was Concetta, which isnt a common American name. Well, I work for Social Security and I can't even tell you how many 'Concetta's I came across the day I got back to work after her funeral - it was so crazy! It made me so sad but I should have looked at it in a nice way.
