So I go through the mail today and there's my jury duty summons for the week of may 4.... 3 weeks before my wedding. So now do I try to get a postponement or go and hope that I won't be selected for a jury. I don't know how it works since I will be away for a week after the wedding on my honeymoon. Do i tell them if i get called in or do I call ahead of time... Any advice?

ugh .. I was just on jury duty... my advice is just go.. they dont take postponements over the phone anymore. You still have to show up with your summons and talk to the court officer, if he decides that your reason is valid he will excuse you.. there was a pregnant woman that was 8 months and they wouldnt excuse her .... they can only keep you 3-4 days max (if you arent chosen) so its not too terrible and thats if you get called at all ...
whats your juror number? if its high they wont call you to go down

I think you should go and when they question you for the case tell them that you can't because of your wedding and you'll at least get credit for going and not have to serve for another 7 years!
