lol i totally know that feeling..i get that way sometimes too! the spot light was on me for a while, and now with all the new engagements..that definately faded..but congrats to your cousin though!

don't be mad at yourself. It's easy to say you won't care but once you're put in the situation feelings can change. It doesn't make you a bad person, a lot of girls on this site have stressed over the same situation.

Your not the only one trust me lol I have been engaged almost 3 years there are a few people that started dating after we did and/or got engaged after me and they are getting married before me! It ***** when you think about it but it will pass! Just remember this is your day to think about! don't let it take over that feeling!! (im getting better with it lol)

i only got my ring on jan 6th - the thing is that i include my aunt in on my plans and i know she (the new fiancee) wont do it i really feel bad that i feel like this i dont know why i even care

Oh silly girl, do not be ashamed of yourself! Even the most self-less people don't want to share their engagement 'thunder'. I'm an extremely laid back, 'don't make me the center of attention' kinda person, and I was SO annoyed when my fiance's cousins announced they were having a baby right after we got engaged!!! It's your moment - feel however you want to feel, and don't feel bad about it. Once in a lifetime, right!!

I called FH (He just left for work) and i told him that they cant be engaged because we're engaged (LOL) and he said im being selfish!!
i know its not nice but ive only been engaged for 6 weeks!!!!

no im not sad just that everyone in my family has been focusing on me and not that i think they won't anymore, its just totally unexpected! i had no idea he even got a ring and we talk every day
he said he just picked it up today - whatever - it is what it is and my family will still focus on me - i mean, my cousin isnt the bride, he's the groom so its different, right?

It's OK Laura - that's why you have us! We all feel pangs of jealousy like that! Especially when you're still in planning stages - you're not bad.. unless you want to be - then you can ask FH for a spanking.

Awww... if you didn't send out the STDs maybe you could wait a week so that everyone calms down. As long as he doesn't set a date of 2/3/08 I think you are fine. I understand how you feel though but all we can do is congratulate them and recruit her to LIW!
