Major construction over there.

The apartments look kind of nice...but isn't the incinerator (spelling?) right next door?

Also you have movie theater and chilis etc...

Anyone hear about how they are or how much they are going for?

They are breaking A LOT of ground over there

The ones that are built, across from Home Expo, are rentals only and I know someone who was looking at them -- $2000/month and cheap materials. Plus, look at all those stairs!! Traffic, and no grocery store ...and what about schools???

I wish they would turn the remaining property into some kind of park or protected area...

$2100 for the one Bedroom....Danielle and I were going to go look at them but then I saw the ad on the internet about what they are going for. I cannot believe they are charging $2100 to live in Westbury. If they wanted to charge that much, they should of built them in long beach on the water or farther out on the north shore. I am sure they will rent some of them but I see the company having trouble renting all the apartments, with the price tag they are asking.

My friend lives in the same development in Virginia and he only pays $1100 a month, and he has a 2 bedroom. It is ridiculous.

$2100! That's ridiculous. It's bad enough houses are insane but god forbid they build affordable rentals! I'm so disgusted w/Long Island prices these days I wish I could get the heck out of here!

Seriously!!! AND thats going to be for WESTBURY schools!!!! (b/c its east of Ellison rd/ Merchants Concourse). i mean, paying that much in rent is ridiculous alone (esp since those are the Starting prices!!!), but to not even get good schools for it... They're off their Rocker on this one

And to LIVE in that area? I would hate it, especially around the holidays with all the shoppers clogging the roads.

but it does say that is for adults 55 years young... it's an adult community, but still the location seems too rushed for what the website shows as a relaxing area

Re: So anyone see all those apartments being built near The Source Mall?

i think BOTH complexes are just Fabulous. i live 2 blocks away from there, and just the other day i was thinking to myself 'Hmmmm there just doesnt seem to be enough congestion/ cars in this area... i wish someone would come along and build MORE multiple units so that we could squeeze as many people into the area as humanly (or un-humanly) possible. Oh, and i hope they give them as many parking spots as possible, this way they can bring all their cars-- Long island ALWAYS needs more cars!!! oh, and as an added bonus, i hope they make them WAYYYY out of my age/salary bracket, that would just be even sweeter. Then i wont have to be bogged down at the Thought of owning property on long Island. Oh, how i wish someone would come along and do that'

blehhhhh im sick of this island!
