haha i just called this week to set up my hair and make up trials (i have hair on tues, and make up next tues)... still dont have anyone booked (though ill prob book them at the trials if i'm happy), and Im getting married in TWO months so dont worry... some of us are even MORE behind on the game! oh yeah, and we still dont have tuxes!
Congrats on booking!!!! its so exciting to see it all coming together!

neenie.. i know this may sound weird or come across wrong but you made me feel so much better about not having any clue whos going to do my hair/makeup. if you can do it, i can do it.
i just have to set up trials and actually call people now

isnt it insane!? i called tarale and JN one year in advance and both were already booked for my date. but dont worry, there are plenty of talented artists out there! :)

I tried to book JN too, and she was booked! I was thinking about going for a trial with Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. A lot of girls here like her.

I contacted Oksana in August or September. Someone was coming in for a trial for the same wedding date as me. I'm in the process of finding a make up artist as well.

ya know... i was talking to lauren (she's doing my hair) about this... And she said that she used to get booked maybe 6 or so months in advance, but over the last 2 or 3 years it's been closer to a year in advance a lot of times...
I wonder if it has anything to do with sites like this and people getting their names out quicker or something...

there are plenty of qualified makeup artists! of course people have favorites but i think all the vendors on here do great jobs!

I went through the same thing...I called JN and she was booked for my date a year in advance. But it all worked out. good luck with your search..there are plenty of very qualified people, you'll find one that you love.

I actually called JN in May...over a year before my date and she was booked. I had a few trials and ended up going with Jillian from Gorgeous Faces. She uses mineral makeup which I love and she really made me feel fabulous. Her contact info is in the vendor section. Definitely check her out. But like Azad said you will look gorgeous no matter who does your makeup.

I had the same thing happen with JN--I called her in the beginning of Aug and she was already booked for my day. I decided to go with Maureen Pedala because I loved my trial with her. I have no idea who I'm using for hair though, haven't gone on a single trial yet!

Sorry --- you took Music by Michael, so I took Jacqueline Nicole!!!
But, if we look on the bright side---we both got John from Flower Michelle for our day (date twin!!!)
But, seriously, go for a trial with Maureen Padila---she was wonderful!!! I just didn't want to spend the extra $150 to have her come to the hotel the day of the wedding. She has a great personality and did a wonderful job---her and JN both did a marvelous job!!!
I'm still looking for hair people, too. Tarale was already booked for our day.....not sure where I'm heading to next. Good luck!!!
