So, as I was opening some of the shower gifts that came in the mail, I came across a letter that said...
We are DELIQUENT on the taxes for our new home!!! And that payment is due immediately upon receipt!
We paid the taxes at closing. We even refunded the previous owner for taxes that they had paid in advance.
Turns out...THEY NEVER DID PAY THOSE TAXES!
So, our lawyer is going to 'take care of it' out of her own pocket and go after the previous owners herself...
So, for all of you home buyers...be careful!
